What is POPSUGAR Play/Ground?

POPSUGAR Play/Ground is a new event created in collaboration between POPSUGAR Inc. and Reed Exhibitions being held June 9 and 10, 2018, at Pier 94 in New York City, New York. Play/Ground will be an immersive and interactive festival experience focused on helping you live your happiest, healthiest life, complete with fitness and wellness activities, shopping bazaars, live musical performances, art installations, inspiring keynote panels with A-list talent and pop-culture luminaries, and more!

  • VIP: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. – VIP-only hour
  • General Admission: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. – Open to all ticket purchasers

June 10, 2018:

  • VIP: 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. – VIP-only hour
  • General Admission: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. – Open to all ticket purchasers

How do I get to POPSUGAR Play/Ground?


  • Lincoln Tunnel (from 95) — Take 40th St. to 10th Ave. and make a left on 55th St.
  • George Washington Bridge — From NY side take Rt. 9A, Henry Hudson Parkway South/Downtown. Proceed south on Henry Hudson Parkway to last exit at 56th St. Stay right for thru traffic. Passenger Ship Terminal is one block ahead on right. Paid parking on roof. Rt. 80 or Palisades Parkway - to George Washington Bridge to NY side and follow directions for Henry Hudson Parkway. Proceed south on Henry Hudson Parkway to last exit, at 56th St., stay right. Passenger Ship Terminal is one block ahead on right.
  • Garden State Parkway — To exit 153 or N.J. Turnpike to Exit 16E (better). Then Rt. 3 E to Lincoln Tunnel, follow signs for Lincoln Tunnel. Exit tunnel and make left turn. Travel north on 10th Ave., and left onto 55th St. Cross 12th Ave. and follow signs to Passenger Ship Terminal.
  • Holland Tunnel — Follow signs for "Uptown" right on Hudson, left on Canal. Proceed four blocks to West St. and turn right. West St. becomes 12th Ave. Follow "Thru Traffic" signs. Continue north on 12th Ave. and follow signs to Passenger Ship Terminal. (Left at 55th St.)
  • Queens Midtown Tunnel — When exiting, bear right to 34th St. Go west on 34th to 12th Ave. Make right turn, go north to 55th St., make a left at 55th St. and follow signs to Terminals.
  • Triborough Bridge — Follow signs to "Manhattan" and FDR Drive South. Take FDR S to 53rd St. Exit. Take 53rd St. crosstown to 11th Ave. Turn right, go two blocks (55th St.).


  • Take George Washington Bridge to 178th St. (Truck Route). Turn right onto Broadway. Follow Broadway to 55th St. Turn right onto W 55th St. Cross over the West Side Highway and turn left into the Passenger Ship Terminal – Pier 94.

Is there parking available?

On-Site Parking

At Pier 92, 300 on-site parking spaces are available for cars; additional spaces are available for commercial trucks.

Open rooftop parking at Pier 92 is $35 for 10 hours or $40 for 24 hours. Please access Pier 92 parking via the ramp at the intersection of 55th St. and the West Side Highway. All vehicles should follow signs for the NYC Passenger Ship Terminal parking.

How much does a Ticket Cost?

Who needs a ticket?

All attendees 6 years old and up need a ticket for POPSUGAR Play/Ground. Please note: POPSUGAR Play/Ground recommends all children under 18 attend with an adult, and all children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  

Do I need to bring cash?

Most exhibitors will accept credit cards, and there will be ATMs available on-site.

What is the refund policy?

Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. You will need to repurchase a new ticket if a replacement ticket is needed.  

What is the ticket mailing deadline?

Tickets purchased before May 11, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. EDT will be mailed. Tickets will not begin mailing until the middle of May 2018. If you purchased your ticket(s) after May 11, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. EDT, please bring this confirmation to Will Call counters at Pier 94 (711 12th Ave, New York, NY 10019) to pick up your official ticket.

Can I take pictures?

For the most part, you’re welcome to take still pictures and video at POPSUGAR Play/Ground. Please note that any recordings of or use of live streaming apps or flash photography at or during any and all panels, presentations, screenings, or stage performances at POPSUGAR Play/Ground without the express written permission of POPSUGAR and Reed Exhibitions is prohibited. Off-stage, please understand and respect that they may not necessarily wish to be photographed by fans.

Guests have a right to their privacy, and if they ask not to have their picture taken, please respect their wishes.

Will guests sign autographs?

We’re expecting several high-profile special guests at POPSUGAR Play/Ground, but any interaction with fans is solely at their discretion.

Is there a coat check?


Can I bring a suitcase or handcart with me?

Please be aware that handcarts, trolleys, oversized strollers, rolling luggage, and wheeled backpacks are not allowed on the show floor.

Will I be on camera?

We attract local, national, and international press. In purchasing this badge and in consideration for being admitted to the event, the holder consents to being recorded (by audio, visual, and/or other means) for exhibition and exploitation by any means in all media now known or hereafter devised worldwide in perpetuity. Holder also hereby: (1) releases POPSUGAR Inc., POPSUGAR Play/Ground, and Reed Exhibitions from any liability for loss or damage to persons or property, infringement of any right or any other claim, or course of action of any kind; (2) authorizes and permits POPSUGAR Inc., POPSUGAR Play/Ground, and Reed Exhibitions and its designees — which include but are not limited to all parents, affiliates, sponsors, exhibitors, and contractors — to use and authorize the use of his/her name, voice, likeness, and all reproductions thereof by any means and in all media now and hereafter known for all purposes worldwide in perpetuity; and (3) agrees to comply with all rules and regulations of the event. Holder agrees not to make any recordings of any kind at certain designated activities without the express written permission of POPSUGAR Inc., POPSUGAR Play/Ground, and Reed Exhibitions. We reserve the right to deny entry or remove from the event facilities any person who in our sole and absolute discretion is behaving or threatening to behave in a manner which we reasonably consider to be disruptive of the event.

What if I am harassed?

Play/Ground has a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for harassment of any kind, including but not limited to:

  • stalking
  • intimidation
  • offensive verbal comments
  • physical assault and/or battery
  • harassing or nonconsensual photography or recording
  • sustained disruption of panels, signings, and other events
  • bathroom policing
  • inappropriate physical contact
  • unwelcome physical attention
  • hate symbols

In relation, but not limited to:

  • race
  • color
  • national origin
  • gender
  • gender identity
  • gender presentation
  • sexual orientation
  • age
  • body size
  • disability
  • appearance
  • religion
  • citizenship
  • pregnancy

Hate symbols are not permitted at Play/Ground. Whether a behavior violates this policy shall be determined by POPSUGAR and/or Reed Exhibitions in its or their sole discretion.

If a person engages in harassing behavior, Play/Ground staff will take prompt action in any form they deem appropriate, including expulsion from Play/Ground with no refund. This policy applies to EVERYONE at Play/Ground. Exhibitors, attendees, speakers, guests, professionals, press, staff, crew, and security are all subject to the Play/Ground Anti-Harassment Policy.

Anyone can report harassment. If someone’s behavior has made you uncomfortable, or if you witness the same happening to someone else, you should immediately contact Play/Ground staff, the security team, or a crew member. You may also come to Play/Ground 's Show Office or report the incident via the Play/Ground App.

If necessary, Play/Ground staff will contact local law enforcement, provide escort, offer a safe place, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to make sure they feel safe for the rest of Play/Ground.


The safety and security of our staff, exhibitors, and attendees is our priority. We work closely with the venue, corporate security, state, local, and federal law enforcement authorities to identify risks, assess them, and develop security plans for our events.

We have established a security room at our shows to ensure effective communication and response.

Everyone attending the show should be aware of the following security measures:

  • Security will be on-site at all times to assist you during all aspects of the show
  • Everyone must wear their show badge at all times. This includes exhibitors, vendors, attendees, guests (speakers, talent, artists), professionals, press, staff, and crew.
  • A fully operational security team following our vetted procedures is in place at the show
  • Bag checks may occur at the show
  • Walkthrough or hand-held scanners may be used at the show
  • Any CCTV in operation at the show is monitored and recorded
  • Uniformed and undercover security may be in attendance at the show
  • Uniformed and undercover police may be in attendance at the show
  • Canine security and detection may be used in or around the show

Everyone attending is requested to:

  • Keep personal property with you at all times and do not leave any items unattended  
  • If you see something, say something. Report anything that looks unusual, suspicious, or out of place to show staff or security immediately.
  • Remain patient and courteous during security checks and follow the instructions of show staff and security at all times
  • Properly dispose of your show badge inside the venue or keep it as a souvenir – please do not sell it to scalpers or throw it away in trash cans outside the venue, where it could be picked up
  • Carry a valid form of photo ID at all times
